Celebrate the newest Magic set, Magic the Gathering: Lorwyn Eclipsed! We’ll be hosting four prerelease events on the following dates:
Friday, January 16th at 6:30 pm
Saturday, January 17th at 12 pm
Saturday, January 17th at 6 pm
Sunday, January 18th at 12 pm
Each event will be sealed-format with three Swiss rounds. Players will use the contents of their prerelease kit + lands from the store to create 40+ card decks. Prize payout is pack-per-win plus door prizes every round. In addition, we provide pizza (for the evening events) and bagels (for the midday events), coffee/tea, and a soft drink for each event. If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, please let us know so we may accommodate you!

Join 3rd Universe for a fun night of drafting MTG: Final Fantasy! Each player will draft using 3 Final Fantasy play packs and lands provided by the shop and play in Best-of-Three Swiss rounds. Players will play in Best-of-Three Swiss rounds (round number dependent in the amount of total players) using their team which must be registered before tournament play begins. We will have extra sheets to fill out your team’s info, or save time and create your own here. Need help figuring out which Pokemon to use? Entry is $15 and includes snacks, a soft drink, and pack-per-person of Play Pokemon promo packs in the prize pool, plus extras for top players. Please let us know ahead of time if you have any allergies or food restrictions so we may accommodate you!

Entry costs $15 and includes snacks, a free soft drink, and 2 packs per person in the prize pool divided among top players in each age division PLUS special League packs for all! The event starts at 2 pm, however please arrive earlier with a typed-out deck list (you can print out a deck list and fill it out as well) as well as your deck ordered in the order of your deck list for a deck check by a judge. Players must use a sleeved, standard-legal deck. Standard-legal cards comprise of cards in the G-, H-, and I-block in the English language.

Players will then play in three Swiss rounds. Prize will consist of promos from the Festival in a Box: Chicago 2025 Secret Lair, Spring Flourishes promos, and promo packs. Every participant receives a pre-primed Space Marine Mini for signing up as well as access to paints, brushes and everything you need to get started. New to Warhammer or Mini-Painting? Join 3rd Universe for a special weekly drop-in D&D session! Every Monday from 4 pm- 8 pm we will be offering drop-in D&D for children aged 6-16, plus adult groups. Work with experienced Dungeon Masters (DM for short) to create your own D&D character and party your way through forests, battles, and fantasy taverns.
